As far as people cutting down education, I think it's a fear thing - they're afraid that by learning, people will outgrow them. If you speak politically, it's easier to lie to and control an uneducated populace. With the training, you have a pretty good boss. I've met him a few times over the years and he's a pretty good guy. The groom was the S.O.B. who spilled beer all over dress, and it was the last straw for her, so she took off in the honeymoon car with the best man, who she had been boinking for the last few months anyway. Last time I went it was because I had "breathing problems" (probably from inhaling all the stupid-fumes emitted by others all day, but I digress). I spent the whole damn afternoon hooked up to heart monitors and oxygen feeds. Never again. Also, I'm glad I found this blog. These stories had me laughing out loud.
